Staff were very helpful from reception to bar next door. Breakfast was good. Free WiFi was good. Check-in was quick and easy.
Our bed was bendy. It was higher at our feet than our head. Our room had a view of a fire escape.
Easy parking, simple checkin and checkout. Eveything about this hotel is simple and easy to use. Food is good.
The in room wired internet connection was pitiful, although usable don't think about downloads or streaming. The wifi in the bar and lounge was much better, however.
The Hotel Staff were very helpful and let us check in at 12-00 hrs as we were attending a Wedding nearby at 14-00 hrs and this enabled us to get changed for the event. The Hotel was very comfortable and the Breakfast was more than adequate
Very helpful staff & management, steaks are also excellent.
The staff were extremely polite and helpfull, the hotel is bursting with character
the service was excellent especily in the restrant where you got a personal warm staff looking after you.nice warm friendly bar and a porche collection for the car enthusiast
It was well located and that meant we could get to all our activities easily
Excellent, will definately use this hotel on a regular basis
Friendly staff - good atmosphere, we were attending Moto GP next day - so biker friendly. Food really good and also good beer.
Staff were excellent. Food was excellent and very handy for my meetings in Milton Keynes. The hotel has great character.
Apart from when I first arrived and the room allocated had clearly been smoked in. I asked to be moved as I had also asked for a Bathroom with Bath. I was immediately moved to a room with a bath which did not smell of tobacco. I was then very happy without any fuss.
Working in the area, this seemed a good choice. Free (wired) internet very useful. Good evening meals and a nice breakfast. Close to the river and a local common - good for running. Fair price.
Window in room a little draughty
Breakfast was superb.
Room was dingy - up in the roof with only a tiny window. Have had much better rooms for a much lower price. Lift does not go up to 3rd floor
Been using it intermittently for 25 yrs, it is consistent.
Rooms were very old fashioned, changed room but the mattress was very old and uncomfortable, they swapped it with a different one but it was no better, The bed it self was not very big for two compared to premier Inn budget hotels
Good-sized room on top floor . The reception and bar/restaurant staff were friendly and helpful . The location a couple of miles off the M1/J14 in a nice small town is an excellent alternative to Milton Keynes .
The en-suite bathroom was a bit cramped , and the floorboards creaked a bit , but understandable in this attractive old coaching inn .. The restaurant food was so-so but the breakfast was excellent .
